Ministerial Staff - District Elder Dennis Wright

The Ministerial staff provides support to the pastor in the preaching and teaching ministries.

Deacon Board - Chairman: Deacon Craig A. Ramsey

The deacons are concerned with the material needs of the congregation, including the comfort of those who come to worship, security and maintaining church property.

 

Brotherhood Department - Director: Elder DaQuall Graham

The Brotherhood Department includes all male constituencies including the Ministers, Deacons and Brothers at Mission Church. The men at Mission Church strive to pursue excellence as husbands, fathers, ministers and co-laborers in the Body of Christ. The men of Mission Church are encouraged to grow and develop into leaders that support the overall vision of the church. The men demonstrate a great love for God through praise and worship. In our services we often see the men of God praising and worshiping God in the pews.

Missionary Department - President: Mother Clarissa H. Brown

The Missionary Department is a group of women who have a special call on their lives. They are assigned roles to lead and are willing to assist in the service of God in any capacity. As Missionaries, they visit hospitals, nursing homes, and the sick and shut-in.

Women's Council - President: Sister Sherri M. Green

The Women’s Council is an auxiliary which includes every woman in Mission Church regardless of age or marital status. Missionaries, non-Missionaries, Ministers and Deacons Wives, and non-Ministers and non-Deacons Wives are apart of this auxiliary.

 

Golden Age Guild - President: Mother Ruby E. Harris

An outreach ministry dedicated to the needs, concerns and comfort of our beloved seniors. Golden Guild encourages fellowship among our seniors and offers them a variety of services.

 

Sunday School Department - Superintendent: Deacon Ian Antoine

Christian Education is a very important part of Mission Church. Our Sunday School ministry offers classes for preschoolers to adults. These enriching classes are taught every Sunday morning. Attending Sunday School is a great opportunity to learn more about the word of God in a small group setting. Sunday School provides a unique opportunity for everyone to learn, in depth, what it means to become a follower of Christ. It's in the Sunday School setting that we have the opportunity to show and share our love for the Lord. Knowing that others have faced similar problems and that they have found the answers in the Bible and in Jesus Christ, is an important part of Sunday School.

 

Youth Department - Director: Sister Marshina Mitchell

The Youth Department consists of all ages of youth and is designed to prepare, train, & educate our young people with spiritual knowledge at their level of understanding.

 

Music Department - Director: Mother DyAnne E. Moultrie

The Music Department oversees the music ministry and choirs of Mission Church which includes:

1. The True Light Choir (Director, Sister Melanie Ramsey)

2. The Brotherhood Choir (Director, Sister Jill Carter)

3. The Imani Choir (Director, Brother Dennis Wright, Jr.)

4. The Joybells (Directors, Sister Jill Carter & Sister Jasmine Etesse)

5. The Praise Singers (Director, Sister Sherri Green)

As well as various musical groups including Foundation, One Accord and Uplifted Voices.

 

Missionettes - Coordinators: Mother Clarissa Brown, Sister Cheryl Crowder

 

Ministers and Deacons Wives Guild - Coordinator: Mother Maudlin V. Wright

The Ministers & Deacon's Wives' Guild is comprised of the wives of the Ministers and Deacons of the church. The women have banded together to be of support and comfort one to the other. They are able to share personal testimonies that will encourage others within the group. Mother Maudlin Wright is the coordinator.

Usher Board - President: Mother Clarissa Brown

An usher is equipped for his or her ministry by the gifts of the Holy Spirit. The ushers are responsible for effectively seating individuals during church service with minimal interruption. They assist with the distribution of literature within the sanctuary in a timely manner. They work closely with the deacons to create a uniform process of taking up tithes and offerings. They greet worshippers with a smile…so they will come again and worship with us.
